So this is my first time ever creating a blog. And to tell the truth, it's rather exciting. I've wanted a blog for so long, and now it's finally happened. Woohoo! So, I've had the most laziest day ever today. I've basically skipped off work due to an illness, and the most productive thing I've done is listen to music. I guess that's not a bad thing though...
I guess I should just talk about myself in this first blog. My name is Sophie Smith. I'm 17 years old and I live in the smallest town in the North East of England. It's called Redcar, and although it is under near constant cover of rain and clouds, it's kind of like an undiscovered gem. The coastline and surrounding countryside is great for a start. If you erased all the awful, trashy chavs* who have dispicable fashion sense, the vandalism and the littering, then Redcar could be considered a pretty cool place. Also, the fact that nothing really exciting happens here is a bit of a problem. Maybe a music festival with good bands and not the pathetic, rubbish local bands could sort out the problems. But back to me. I have dark brown hair, which I'm determined to have bleached blonde a lá Lady GaGa by my 18th birthday. My eyes are a very strange colour. They are like, green with a strange yellowey colour around my pupil. Mhm. Very wierd, don't you think?
I totally have huge respect for Pixie Lott, Lauren Conrad and Stephanie Pratt. Their sense of style is the best I've seen. And of course, GaGa really is a bit of an idol to me. Of course, she stays true to herself and her outrageous fashion sense. She is not afraid to be who she wants to be and I really think that is very commendable.
I don't really watch a lot of TV. I prefer to read books and magazines. My favourite books are the amazing Twilight Saga. I actually love them. Once I start reading them I find it unbearable to put them down. I also love my fashion mags. Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazarr. Mmmmm.
When I do find time to watch TV, it's always The Hills, The City or The X Factor, which, for those of you that aren't aquainted with it, is a reality talent/singing show. It's possibly the best one in Britain and is responsible for global superstar Leona Lewis and rising stars Alexandra Burke and runners up, JLS. I am also partial to a bit of Wizards of Waverly Place.
My all time favourite movies are The Lion King, Pulp Fiction, Romeo and Juliet (the newest one. The old one, in my opinion, is on screen trash) and all the Jurassic Park movies.
When it comes to music, my taste varies radically. My favourite bands/artists include The Black Eyed Peas, Band of Horses, Paramore, The Saturdays, Lady GaGa, La Roux, Alicia Keyes, Rihanna, Motley Crue, ACDC, Eminem and The Veronica's. I'm sure this will change soon, my music taste always does.
